This video of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 shows how special effects team from SpinVFX took care of green screen backgrounds and glass reflection from inside of Cullen house as well as the house in which Bella Swan and Edward Cullen spent their honeymoon. All these scenes were shot in enclosed spaces with green screens serving as windows. SpinVFX then superimposed moving backgrounds and glass reflections into those spaces making for a realistic looking scenes.
Eric Doiron – SpinVFX Compositing Supervisor explained that a 3D model of each object in the room, as well as digital doubles of Edward and Bella were created in order to facilitate reflections. Everything was carefully animated to match motion of camera and their real life counterparts and the results are the scenes that look as natural as ever. The video is below:
