Eclipse Filming Starts on August 17 2009 at Vancouver Film Studios
Summit Entertainment, the production company behind the Twilight Series has confirmed the official date for filming of Eclipse. As it is clear now, all reports that Eclipse was gonna get filmed back to back with New Moon were false. Filming for The Twilight Saga: New Moon started in May of 2009 and was concluded in June. The cast got few weeks off to enjoy themselves (or join filming for their other movies) and will be called back on the set of Eclipse in mid August to become vampires and werewolves once more.
The filming for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will commence on August 17, 2009 and will go through until October 31, 2009. Eclipse will be filmed at Vancouver Film Studios – same location as New Moon but Eclipse will be directed by super awesome David Slade (director of 30 Days of Night). All original characters will be back for Eclipse, including Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black.
Eclipse revolves around vampires Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) who summons an army of vampires with the purpose of destroying Bella Swan and the Cullens. In order to defeat The Cullens, Victoria’s clan must join forces with Werewolves lead by Jacob Black. Eclipse release day is set for June 30, 2010.
