Rumor has it it was Joan Jett herself who picked Kristen Stewart to play her in the upcoming biopic The Runaways. I’ve always wondered why celebrities who are still alive would not play themselves in biopics. Truth be told, Kristen Stewart has Joan Jett’s hair, but hair is the easiest thing to replicate. It’s a wig anyway so anyone wearing that wig would sport Joan Jett hair style.

I’d be curious to know how much pressure it was for Kristen Stewart to play Joan Jett when real Joan Jett is around, as can be seen from these photos. It must be so much pressure – you are playing someone who’s real and who’s there and you are expected to be like them. That must be crazy for any actor.
