Alex Meraz is one of the cast members on the set of New Moon, and while it is not yet 100% clean as to whom he portrays, there are several reasons to believe he’s one of the Quileute Werewolves – Werewolf Paul. Alex Meraz was seen accompanying his fellow werewolves on their day off in Vancouver, including Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) and Bronson Pelletier (Werewolf Jared).
Alex Meraz was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, but his heritage reaches to the Purepecha (Tarasco) First Nation from Mexican Michoacan. Just as Taylor Lautner, Alex Meraz is a martial artist with great deal of accomplishments, including karate tournament victories. New Moon surely seems to have lots of talented young actors that have various talents. And there really is nothing hotter than a gorgeous man with strong physique and martial arts training.
Martial arts and acting skills are not the only talents Alex Meraz has. He’s also a skilled dancer and a member of Dancing Earth groups with whom he went to Amman, Jordan to perform for Jordanian royal family. And then of course there is capoeira – a combination of dancing with martial arts which is also one of Alex’s many skills.
When it comes to acting, Alex Meraz had side roles with some of the biggest names in the motion picture industry, such as Colin Farrell or Christian Bale. He definitely looks good. I can’t wait to see New Moon.
