Melissa Rosenberg Wants Channing Tatum to Play Vampire Riley
Twilight saga script writer Melissa Rosenberg says she would like to see actor Channing Tatum to play a role of bad boy vampire Riley. Entertainment Tonight reports that if “Channing Tatum hasn’t read the Twilight books, he may want to start.” implying that he has a support of Melissa Rosenberg – one big figure involved in production of the Twilight saga.
Vampire Riley is not in New Moon, but would be in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn as per books by Stephenie Meyer. Riley is involved in a big fight and Melissa Rosenberg believed Channing Tatum would pull it off well. And since Riley is manipulated by evil Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), he does anything for her until the point when he’s left heartbroken realizing Victoria doesn’t want him.
Melissa Rosenberg also confirmed E! Online what Kristen Stewart said in interviews with Entertainment Tonight – even though Edward Cullen as character doesn’t appear that much in books, there will be plenty of him (and hence plenty of Robert Pattinson) in the movie adaptations: “You can’t have a Twilight without Robert Pattinson.”
Back to Channing Tatum – he started as a model and eventually scored acting gigs. He hasn’t been in any major picture yet, so role in Twilight would put his name on A list very quickly. His brief portfolio of movies includes She’s the Man, Step Up or Supercross.

Yeah channing tatum is soooo hott! i think he should have played edward. at least thats who i was picturing in my mind when i was reading the books. they should defiently cast him even if the part in kind of minor…

Riley is in the third book. Victoria uses him as her pet when she creates the young vamps to help kill Bella and the Cullens. Channing is def. hot though!!!

i don’t think he should play in any part of twilight. i love this guy. like seriously. twilight fails. if he does decide on it, i hope he character kills bella and edward and end the darn series.

I dont want him to be in twilight because i would jus be on the edge of my seat waiting for his part, then when his part came i would jus be oggling lool
