This is the official New Moon Poster as released by Summit Entertainment. To be honest, even though it’s official, it looks fan made to me. I don’t know what I was expecting, but this wasn’t quite it. There have been several new moon posters appearing on line from countless Twilight fans many of which looked better than this one. But that’s just a quick first impression that one could get upon initial look at this official New Moon Poster.
When you look closer into it, there’s a lot of emotion and an entire New Moon story within just one image. Which makes it completely awesome. But then again, if you’re not a fan of Twilight )aka you haven’t read the books) then this poster will make no sense to you and will look rather mundane. I’m truly not sure if this was a hit or miss on behalf of Summit Entertainment. If they were trying to address Twilight fans only, they probably succeeded, however if they wanted to get new people into Twilight, this poster will mean nothing to them. Absolutely nothing. I mean – there are some young people standing in front of the forest. If I knew nothing about Twilight saga, a movie poster like this New Moon one would not make me want to go check it out.
