New Moon set location has become a public knowledge and Twilight Series [dot] ca is happy to share this information with you. It has been known for a long time that New Moon is being filmed in Vancouver, only nobody knew where exactly in Vancouver it was. Since Vancouver is a big city, it would be impossible to track New Moon location down without some hint that would narrow it down. We are happy to confirm that New Moon set location is in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve in British Columbia, Canada.
Production of a major motion picture requires a lot of energy and focus so it is understandable that Summit Entertainment and all cast and crew involved in production of New Moon tried their best to keep the location a secret. Even though the location is now publically known, we would like to appeal to all fans of Twilight saga to respect privacy of all cast and crew and try not to hinder the production of the movie with unnecessary attempts to get on the set.
Pacific Rim National Park Reserve is on Vancouver Island in British Columbia and is considered one of province’s most beautiful locations. Tofino and Uquelet are the nearest towns so obviously people who live in these towns already know that New Moon is being filmed there and many have already met with the cast at random encounters.
Production on New Moon started on March 20, 2009. There is a camp set up on the Long Beach, which is the most famous surfer’s beach in Canada. Head over to Westcoaster.ca for more info.
