Word on the street had it that Courtney Love was in the talks with the Universal Pictures movie studios to bring Nirvana biopic to the big screen and that Robert Pattinson was to play Kurt Cobain in it. Meantimely, the rumors have been mostly denied, however it was still an interesting one to spread around. I wouldn’t expect Courtney Love to come up with any coherent idea as to the movie which is what ticked me off as – untrue.
According to the rumor, Scarlett Johansson was to play Courtney Love and David Fincher was to direct the movie. Even though there will likely be no fire from that spark, it’s still an interesting, albeit scary idea that Robert Pattinson would play Kurt Cobain. I mean I love him as Edward Cullen, but I don’t think he’s the right actor to portray the grunge legend and Nirvana founder.
