Stephenie Meyer Writing Style Analyzed

I admit it. I’ve posted more than enough Twilight Hating and Twilight Trolling content on the pages of Twilight Series and even though this is a Twilight fansite (and I’m a major Twilight fan myself), I can’t help but share more of what Twilight haters produce. This post, however is different. This screenshot was not produced by a Twilight Troll, but rather by an analytical computer script on a website where people can paste their writing and get an analysis which will tell them which famous writer their writing style resembles. And so it happens, that when complete gibberish is used to analyze, it resembles the writing style of famous Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer.

As can be seen from a picture above, someone tried that online writing style analyzer and pasted gibberish consisting of nothing but a repeat use of words “derp herp” countless times, clicked a button to analyze their writing and the website popped a message that they “write like Stephenie Meyer”. Is this true, does Stephenie Meyer’s writing style really resemble incoherent gibberish?

Stephenie Meyer Debunks the Lawsuit Rumor

Following the news that Stephenie Meyer’s college roommate Heidi Stanton is suing Stephenie Meyer for Plagiarism, author of Twilight series debunked the news as untrue herself. May the number of people who are not surprised by the debunk of the rumor speak up…. chirp, chirp, chirp. Well, as I though.

So yes, Stephenie Meyer debunked the lawsuit rumor, but what does it mean? Well, it could mean one of two things:

1 – Heidi Stanton is lie telling. Perhaps she’s an attention whore who wanted to glide on the fact that she remembers Stephenie Meyer from her college years and took a shot at drawing attention at herself. But the shot failed and backfired.

2 – Stephenie Meyer’s men knocked on the door of Heidi Stanton and said: “Look miss, Twilight saga is a cash cow beyond imagining. Let’s put this plagiarism to rest, Stephenie Meyer will shut it down by debunking it as rumor, and we will give you cut from all future profits of twilight franchise. Considering the success of the franchise, you are looking at millions of dollars a year for a long time. And you don’t have to do anything. Stephenie Meyer did all the work by writing the books herself, Summit Entertainment did all their work and filmed a successful movie. All is required of you is to get quiet and stay quiet. No nothing and you’ll get ridiculously rich overnight. What say you?”

What do you think Heidi Stanton would say? She was filing the lawsuit with intentions to monetize on it anyway. If she can get far more from it and without hassles and risks of a lawsuit, of course she’s gonna take it.

Or maybe there is an reason #3 – Heidi Stanton doesn’t exist and never existed. Somebody fabricated it just the way they fabricated the Robert Pattinson stinks rumor. Yes, that’s what it is. When something becomes a success, lots of bad blood starts flowing around, often showing as malicious rumors that have no truth to it. That’s probably what the lawsuit against Stephenie Meyer is all about. But where did the rumor originate? Who was the creative mastermind behind it?

Heidi Stanton Suing Twilight Author Stephenie Meyer for Plagiarism

Heidi Stanton used to share the room with Stephenie Meyer in college. Fast forward few years later and you have Stephenie Meyer who’s a bestselling author and one of the most recognizable names in contemporary book writing. The Twilight series is a massive, massive hit both in book form and on the silver screen, so what happens when someone makes it this big all of a sudden? You got it – people from their past start to emerge and try to ride their horse.

According to what British The Sun refers to as “semi-reliable source” Heidi Stanton is suing her college roommate and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer for plagiarism. Heidi Stanton says the love story between a human girl and a gorgeous vampire boy is her story, a story she penned in when she was going to college with Stephenie Meyer. The idea infringement lawsuit was allegedly filed on April 14, 2009.

I’m not sure how reliable this information is. I would think that one week after alleged plagiarism lawsuit against Stephenie Meyer this story would make it, really big. Many major mainstream media brought it up, but somehow it’s still a low profile story that doesn’t get the buzz its magnificence deserves. Could this be a sign of it being a bogus rumor, or could it be that Stephenie Meyer wants to keep it quiet and is negotiating the deal with Heidi Stanton before more wind comes blowing from that end?

According to the database of best selling books for the first quarter of 2009 as tracked by USA Today, Stephenie Meyer is completely dominating the list. Her four Twilight series books are on top 4 positions of the list accounting for approximately 16% of all book sales. In other words, one seventh of all books sold, are books by Stephenie Meyer.

Stephenie Meyer Says Bella Swan Was Not Based on Herself

Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight Saga has denied the connection between Bella Swan’s character and herself. When asked about it during an interview with Moviefone, Stephenie Meyer said that “Bella and I think completely differently and when I went to write this it wasn’t something I thought about.”

According to Stephenie Meyer, Bella Swan is far more mature than she was at that age. Some of Stephenie’s experiences were added in later on, but Bella started as a character who lived life that was completely different from life Stephenie Meyer knew: “…why would I write something I’ve already experienced?”

Bella Swan is forced to be an adult at all times, whereas Stephenie’s life was really easy as she was sheltered and taken care of at that age. Despite her young age and all the mella happening around her, Bella gets to have her fantasy love affair yet still manages to remain normal – which is something that didn’t happen to Stephenie Meyer either. Then again, this type of love affair hasn’t happened to any of us in real life, regardless of how much we’d love to have a vampire fall in love with us, it ain’t gonna happen. Perhaps in my fantasy world that I create in my daydreams. There I have my luscious fanged lover who strongly desires my blood, but his love for me is stronger and prevails over his instincts. I’d be “unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him”.
