I think Emily Browning is secretly bashing her head against the wall for missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime and never auditioning for role of Bella Swan in Twilight series. Author of Twilight books Stephenie Meyer wanted Emily Browning to play the role of Bella and Emily turned it down. I’m sure now that she can see how huge Twilight has become and how it’s only going to get bigger, she’s secretly deeply disappointed with herself, even though she’s not gonna admit to it publically.
The name of Emily Browning will remain on the B list, even though she’s a talented actress and has been in some major motion pictures. Still her name doesn’t ring the bells of that many people, where as Kristen Stewart, who did audition for the role of Bella Swan and got it has quickly climbed the charts of most popular actresses and her name is well affixed atop of A list actresses.
Emily Browning spoke with MTV and explained why she didn’t take part in Twilight. According to her own words, she was asked to audition, not to take role and that’s why she turned it down. She had major support of Stephenie Meyer and would have likely got the role, but still the producers wanted the audition to make sure they are not going amiss. Emily Browning turned them down.
Emily Browning also says she was exhausted because she had just finished filming The Uninvited and wanted to hang out with her family. To justify her actions, Emily says that she wouldn’t be good Bella and says that: “I’m sure Kristen (Stewart) did a billion times better job than I would’ve done.” And I’m sure she just says that to be polite but realizes what major opportunity she had missed out on. It was an opportunity like no other and one like that may never come along again. Kristen Stewart is Bella Swan, Emily Browning will continue to be a name vast majority of people have never heard of.

Kristen Stewart is a better actress for the part because the character being played is Bella Swan – who has absolutely no personality at all. That works well for Kristen, who seems completely incapable of showing any emotion, or cause any emotion to anyone watching her films.
Emily Browning might stay a B actress because she didn’t take the part. At least she didn’t just jump on the bandwagon simply because it was obvious it would be popular.
She, in my book, gets extra points.
no matter who plays for Bella in the movie… she will never be a character without personality (please read the whole books) esp in the last book, she’s amazing, strong inspiring character. love it… for both book and movie side.

I think Kristen does amazing, she’s a fabulous actress, and so is Emily, but maybe Twilight isn’t where she wanted to go with her career,
