Here’s rather inaccurate, but reasonably funny video which attempts to explain why Twilight is so popular. It’s based on continuously lame and try-hard comic drawings by The Oatmeal, people who desperately seek what’s popular to attempt to offend it so the controversy casts some spotlight on them.
I agree that the “Why Is Twilight So Popular” question is a legitimate one and that the video does deliver some pointers which could be reasonably accurate, but it fails to recognize the real aspects behind the popularity coming out as a failure. Perhaps a video titled “Why Is The Oatmeal Such a Fail” would be now in order. Meantimely, we can all continue to wonder about the real reasons why Twilight is so strikingly successful with popularity continuously on the rise.
